Charles and Patricia Lester have spent 50 years experimenting and perfecting different techniques for decorating and texturing fabrics. Their main focus has been creating textiles for their original and timeless fashion collection. Their customers for the fashion collection include some amazing high profile celebrities, but mostly extraordinary/ordinary people who love the chance to own something that is beautifully crafted and rare for their very special life-time occasions

However they also create textile art pieces for the home. These creations have not had the attention that has been given to the fashion side of their business except for occasional articles in glossy magazines about luxury interior textile art.

Luxury interior textile art in museums and art galleries
Exhibitions in art galleries and prestigious museums around the world have included some of the major decorative pieces, but still very little is known about this side of Charles and Patricia’s art work.

Exhibitions of their work have been shown in a number of other places around the world including throughout Bergdorf Goodman in New York, another in an exhibition of the work by Mariano Fortuny in Milan as contemporary creators of hand crafted textile art.
Inspiration for luxury textile art
In order to show the quality and variety of their textile work they have prepared an introduction collection of pictures. Choosing one of their inspirational photographs they have surrounded it with examples of their luxury art for the home – made out of their textiles. These include large wall hangings, cushions, throws, bedspreads and screens.

They can also apply this idea for set designers for film and television. This is yet another area that they would like to venture more into as well as exhibitions in art galleries and museums.
